4 LAKES. ONE PRIVATE DOCK. YOUR FALL ESCAPE
Hiawatha Snow'd Inn sits right on Skeels Lake, part of the Corner-Straits Chain of Lakes, with a private 48-foot dock at your doorstep year-round and Hiawatha National Forest all around you. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is about 25 minutes away, but with fishing, kayaking, hiking, biking and ATV trails right outside the door, there's plenty of reason to stay close to home.
From the shore you can launch a kayak or canoe and explore Skeels, Corner, Straits and Deep Lakes, or drop a line from the dock and fish for bass, walleye, pike and perch. When you're ready to range further out, ATV and UTV trails, mountain biking and waterfalls are all within easy reach. DNR passes are available about a mile up the road at Midway General.
Back at the house, deer and eagles are regular visitors, and the occasional fox cuts through the yard. The property sits at the end of a quiet road, well away from any light pollution. Evenings around the fire pit or on the deck with the lake in front of you are hard to beat, and on a clear night the stars alone are worth staying up for. When conditions are right, the UP's dark skies can even deliver a northern lights show.

About the Owner
Hiawatha Snow'd Inn started as a dream to retire one day in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We fell in love with the area years ago and have been making the trip up from southeast Wisconsin since 2012, originally as avid snowmobilers. The name says it all, we've been snowed in more than once and wouldn't have it any other way. We keep the property for ourselves in winter so we can enjoy the trails, which is why we open it to guests from spring through fall. When we're not here ourselves, we want guests to experience the same thing that drew us to this corner of the UP: great water, incredible trails and the kind of quiet that's hard to find anywhere else. We're committed to making sure every stay goes smoothly and we're always reachable if you need anything.Amenities
